The location was good and the price fine. The air con was a godsend, as was the pool
We opted to pay an extra 5 us to get a kitchenette thinking we would maybe prepare breakfast there but the fridge w as so disgusting we thought twice about putting drinks in it. The bed was rather hard and the pillows were lumpy. There was no blanket and whilst it was boiling at bedtime necessitating leaving the air con on all night, by 5 am you were perished and needed a blanket. Luckily we had sleeping bags with us. There is avolleyball court rightne t to the pool meaning whooping kids and whistling disturbs the peace of your swim. Wi fi didn't work in ourroommuch to our frustration

Hotel Canaima was in a very good position. Extremely close to the beach and downtown, the location couldn't get better. The rooms were also very large.
Although the rooms were big, it was overpriced for what you got. They advertise wifi, however, in 5 days of being there it only worked for 2 of them. The level of english, or effort for that matter, was also poor. The housemaids would turn the AC off at the fuse box and wouldn't tell you how to turn it back on (it took some playing around on my part). There were also no toilet seats and no hot water.
